Bitooma sub-county
1. Hot spring. Found in Bitooma sub-county,makwetere cell, amabare village.It is Approximately 18 kilometers off the Bushenyi –Mbarara highway.
Activities include;
- Bird watching
- Nature walks through the forest.
- Swimming.
- Photography
- Camping
2. Kyamuhunga sub-county
Karinju forest reserve.
Found in Kayanga village, Kibazi parish, Kyamuhunga sub-county and other parts of Nyabubaare sub-county.It is on Bushenyi- Kasese highway. Its approximately 375km, 5 hour drive from Kampala.

3. Tea Estates
Between Butare trading center and mashonga in Kyamuhunga Sub County are the amazing tea estates that provide a very beautiful and attractive atmosphere for the photo lovers.

- Tea processing which involves cultivation, leaf collection, fermentation, drying and tasting the different samples.

These are located in Kasa 2 village, Ruhumuro sub-county approximately 18 kilometers off the Bushenyi –Mbarara highway. They create a boundary between Bushenyi and Buhweju District. It’s also where the Kyambura Gorge starts from.

- Chimp trekking. This place also harbors a rare species of chimpanzees that are not elsewhere.

6.Kabagarame Pork Palace
Located in Ruharo ward, Buashenyi –ishaka municipality off Bushenyi –Mbarara highway about 1 km from the main road.

Kakanju sub-county
Katunga crater lake
Located in katungavillage,kakanju sub-county. It’s about 15km off the main road (Bushenyi-mbarara highway).
Activities include;
- Hiking above the lake for a clear view.
- Swimming around the shallow ends of the lake.
- Sports fishing
- Story telling about the existence of the lake
- Camping

8. Agro Tourism
Bushenyi is well known as the model district for Matooke (Bananas), coffee and Tea. There are 38 factories in the district. Below is the list of agro farms where agro tourism can be carried out.

- Mr. Batuna Yorokamu’s farm in Kyamuhunga sub-county.
- Mr. Vicent Muhame’s farm in Kizinda, Nyabubaare sub-county
