The support was mobilized by OGs who studied from the school between 1973-1976. They were led by Alison Kantarama. They handed over the money to the school administration.
“Many of us have been successful outside there because of the values that Bweranyangi instilled in us,” Kantarama said.
The contribution will go to completing the school chapel which has costed the school about Sh4.2Billion.
Stella Rurunga one of the OGs hailed Bweranyangi for the role it has played especially on the girl child.
Since then, it has ‘produced’ thousands of products including the First Lady Mrs. Janet Museveni who is the Minister for Education and Sports among many other influential women.
The outgoing headmistress Muzoora commended the OGs for their contributions to the school. Muzoora said the have been able to accomplish the chapel project 90% with support from a number of stakeholders including students, parents, OGs and other well wishers.
